1955 Nash* Metropolitan. Ahead of its time. Austin engine, Nash body designed by Italian Pininfarina.
The MSRP for Series III models (in 1955)  was $1,527 (Hardtop).
It was a high mileage car 25 years ahead of its time.
This relic is on an elevated platform… like a monument… American-style.
The Metro is on U.S. Highway 80 winds out of El Paso heading to san Antonio, Austin and beyond.
It is a road thet Russell Lee traveled frequently.

*Nash became Nash-Hudson which became American Motor Company (Ramblers) which became AMC, which was acquired by Renault which sold it to Chrysler which became extinct in 1987.
